NO SALISBURY LOCAL HISTORY GROUP MEETINGS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
Due to the Coronavirus situation our final 2 meetings of the Spring term were cancelled and we were not able to plan the Summer term’s programme as usual. We hope to resume later in the year.
There is some good news – Salisbury Library has re-opened, but with limited times and some restrictions. Check out http://www.wiltshire.gov.uk for the latest information.
While we are deprived of our usual meetings why not refresh your memories of some of the archaeological discoveries in the city we have heard about over the years? Wessex Archaeology have started a series about the sites they have worked on in Salisbury during the past four decades, with new ones being added regularly.
The Group offers a variety of talks on aspects of local history. Meetings are held on Tuesday evenings in term time, 7.30pm, at the Salvation Army, Salt Lane, SP1 1EE, unless otherwise indicated.
Admission per meeting:– Members £2.00. Non-members £3.00. Membership 01 September 2019 – 31 August 2020 £12. New members welcome – just come along.
