SALISBURY LOCAL HISTORY GROUP
Dear Members and Friends. The continuing Covid-19 situation means there is no chance of resuming our programme in the near future. We hope you are continuing to enjoy Local History without us, either by reading about work done by other people, such as that published in Sarum Chronicle, or by continuing your own research.
If you are doing some local history research of your own, check out http://www.wiltshire.gov.uk for the latest information on Library opening times and http://www.wshc.eu for History Centre (Chippenham) times. An essential resource is the Victoria County History for Wiltshire, who need our help to continue their work. See their website http://www.wiltshirehistory.org for further information.
In the meantime if you would like a reminder of some of the archaeological discoveries we have heard of in the past, see the Wessex Archaeology series of reports on the sites they have worked on in Salisbury over the past four decades.
